My name is Zohra Sarwari and I am an international speaker, author, life/business coach who has homeschooled 4 of her children. Many people ask me why I home school, when there are free schools, and private schools out there.
“I have to answer for my children on the Day of Judgment, so I want to make sure that I do my part as a parent as best as I can- inshAllaah. Allaah knows best. I also love to be with them, my relationship with them only gets better with each passing day. For it is me who teaches them manners, tarbiyyah, and akhlaq. I am afraid to say that schools no longer do a good job at this or care. I feel that it is more important to have a great character, manners, and tarbiyyah first, and then have a great education, inshAllaah. For the education will then shine and be beautified with great manners and character. Allaah knows best. I personally recommend home schooling to everyone who can do it, inshAllaah. It isn’t as hard as it seems, and there are a lot of resources out there to help, inshAllaah, but most importantly it preserves Islam in the children. As a woman of faith, I am concerned for the betterment of my children’s future, with Islam being the core foundation, they will know how to react in every situation that comes their way inshAllaah in a great manner, inshAllaah.”
As a parent I know how difficult it is to teach our children to have great manners, speech, and tarbiyyah. I also know that no one cares about my child as much as I do, so why shouldn’t it be me who teaches them, since I care the most about their success inshAllaah. However, if you cannot teach them, or don’t have certain skills to do it, inshAllaah my curriculums will help you tremendously.
